I have spent over thirty years in the teaching field, including experience on the college, high school, middle school, and elementary levels. My most recent position was as Curriculum Support Facilitator for the Johnston County Early College Academy where duties included tutoring students for college and high school courses in US History I & II, World Civ. I & II, Political Science, and Composition I. I taught at the AIG (Academically and Intellectually Gifted) Center in Smithfield for 11 years, after spending many years in Pennsylvania teaching AP U.S. History and AP Political Science as well as middle school, high school, and college history and English.

I have boundless energy and feel that all students can do well. I was chosen as the "Leading with the Heart" winner for the Johnston County Early College Academy in 2011. I do believe that I have the interest of all students at heart! APUSH (AP US History) high school students and AIG elementary and middle school students are encouraged to come to group sessions of two or more in order to enjoy the challenge of competition, the camaraderie, and a special fee reduction!
